Matthew John Leclerc, 21, passed away unexpectedly on July 22. Matthew was born on July 26 in Bronx, New York, to Neal and Laurel Leclerc.

He previously resided in New Rochelle, New York, before moving to Madison at the age of 8. He graduated from Madison High School and attended Sacred Heart University in Fairfield. He was a parishioner at St. Margaret’s Church in Madison. Matthew had a gentle, loving nature with a great sense of humor. He will be most remembered for his warm smile, laugh, and twinkling eyes. He could always be counted on to offer a kind word and helping hand. Matthew loved playing baseball and was an enthusiastic New York Yankee, Notre Dame college football, and New York Jet fan. He enjoyed going to the gym and working out, as well as eating a sandwich on Italian seeded bread.

Matthew is survived by his parents Laurel and Neal and his sister Katherine and brother Christopher. He is also survived by his grandmother Terry Carlin and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
