Madison and Marysville, Ohio

Mary “Eileen” Fowler Caulin, age 85, of Marysville, Ohio, formerly of Madison, died on July 23 at home with her devoted family surrounding her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband and cherished spending time with her family. Eileen will be remembered as a strong and feisty woman with a sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor, who could bring tears of laughter with her storytelling. She was a very attractive woman with an eye for fashion and a great sense of style. Although she did not have formal training, her flair for interior design had many seeking out her advice throughout her life.

She was born Jan. 9, 1932, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Nicholas and Alice Feuer Fowler. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Caulin. She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, William Peter Caulin, whom she married June 2, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York; two children, Teresa (Walter) Glaser of Marysville, Ohio, and William (Laurie) Caulin of New Hope, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Kelly (Sean) O’Connell, William N. Caulin, and Brian (Aleah) Caulin; and four great-grandchildren, Caiden, Declan, Finnegan, and Brogan. She is also survived by her siblings Phyllis (Raymond) Garrigan, Gloria O’Donnell, Charles (Karen) Fowler, Jeanette Pellei, and Alice (Francis) Gavin; a brother-in-law, Michael Caulin; a sister-in-law, Eileen Caulin; a brother-in-law, Harry Conklin; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

The family will hold private services. Underwood Funeral Home in Marysville, Ohio, assisted the family. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial contributions may be made to Union County Loving Care Hospice, 779 London Ave., Marysville, OH 43040.
