North Guilford

On July 6 H. Bruce Robinson, longtime resident of North Guilford, passed away at Masonic Care in Wallingford. He was the husband of the late Jeanne Tower Robinson. Mr. Robinson was born May 24, 1929, in New Haven, son of the late Harry Wilson Robinson and Vera Romberg Robinson.

He is survived by Robert (Skip) Robinson, his wife Kathy of Guilford, and their daughter Meggan; Gail Brennan of Vero Beach, Florida; Hollie Goodale, her husband Mark of Clinton, and their daughter Katelyn (Donald) Andrews; Lauretta Lonardo of Guilford; Mark Robinson, his wife Mary of Muscatine, Iowa, and their children Gabriel, Gideon, Gailann, Genevieve, and Grant; and Eric Robinson, his wife Debbie of Milford, and his children Ian and Lyndsey. He was the brother of Valeda Carroll and her husband Dick of Cummaquid, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by a grandson, Dustin M. Lonardo, and a brother, Kenneth Robinson.

Mr. Robinson honorably served his country during the Korean War in the US Army. Before retiring he worked for United Illuminating many years. He enjoyed traveling and camping with his wife after his retirement. He also enjoyed gardening, working summers in the Grand Canyon, and spending time with his family at picnics and during the holidays.

Friends were invited to calling hours on July 11 at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford. Services took place on July 12 at the Guilford Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors followed in North Guilford Cemetery, Ledge Hill Road, Guilford.
