Guilford

Margaret “Margrette” Febbroriello, age 70, born on June 14, 1946, in Torrington, passed away June 13. She was the daughter of the late Eleanor Baker and James Flynn.

She was predeceased by siblings Alice and William Flynn. She is survived by her children Michael and Melissa Eleanor Febbroriello; brother James Flynn, and sisters Eleanor Jacobs and Susan Simons; adored grandchildren Tyler and Riley Febbroriello; along with several nieces and nephews.

Margaret received her nursing education at St. Francis Hospital and went on to work in med surge, psychiatric, and nursing facilities. She spent her last 16 years working with special education children with medical needs for the Guilford Public Schools. Margaret was a spitfire, true to her Irish roots and all loved her sass. As stubborn as she was, there was not a single person she would not help. She devoted her life to giving and caring for the sick and vulnerable. Our hearts are broken.

Friends called June 19 at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on June 20 in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to The Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Joseph’s Residence, 1365 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082-4925, or The Arthritis Foundation, P.O.
