Guilford

Donald Harry Buehl of Guilford died on June 19. The husband of Deborah Potter Buehl, he was born in Berwyn, Illinois, on May 24, 1935, to Harry and Edna Buehl.

He graduated from Lyons Township, Illinois, High School and attended the University of Illinois. After serving four years in the US Navy, he worked as the director of sales and marketing for Pfizer. Donald relocated to Guilford in 1980 while working for Pfizer, and later retired as the director of sales for Amatek in Wallingford. He was a 50-year member of the Shriners and was a member of the Madison Rotary. He was a faithful fan of The Chicago Bears, The White Sox, and The University of Illinois Fighting Illini. In retirement he enjoyed sharing his time between Florida and Guilford.

Donald was predeceased by his first wife Diane Buehl and his younger brother Harry Buehl. He is survived by his wife Deborah P. Buehl of Guilford; and children Tracey Rosenberry of Beverly, Massachusetts, Thomas Buehl of Irvine, California, Susan Young of Knoxville, Tennessee, Heather Paul and Dana of Guilford, and Mark Young and Jody of Westbrook. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Michael Rosenberry, Elizabeth Rosenberry, Clayton Young, Adam Petrone, Vincent Petrone, Devon Young, and Alexandria Young.

Calling hours will be held at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford, on June 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be a private burial service. A remembrance of Donald will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 30, at 47 Jefferson Dr., Guilford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Madison Rotary, P.O.
