Christine Cerilli Vecellio, 93, of East Haven, beloved wife of the late Edmund Vecellio, Sr., passed away on June 12 in the Masonicare Health Center.

She was the loving mother of Paul Vecellio of Summerville, South Carolina, Ronald J. Vecellio of East Haven, Brian Vecellio of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Edmund Vecellio, Jr., of East Haven. She was the grandmother of Peter, Michael, and Logan Vecellio; and the sister of George (Sarah) Cerilli of East Haven and the late Eleanor Marcucci, Pauline Salemme, and Antoinette Carrano.

Christine was born in New Haven on May 9, 1924, daughter of the late Dominico and Anna Marie LaPorte Cerilli. Prior to her retirement Christine was a packager for Silly Putty and also worked for the former Lexington Gardens of North Haven.

Her funeral procession will leave the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, June 17 at 8:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
