Joseph A. DellaCamera, 86, of North Haven passed away peacefully on June 8 at the St. Raphael campus/Yale-New Haven with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Ruth M. DeGennaro DellaCamera. Joseph was born in New Haven on Nov. 5, 1930, son of the late Angelo and Christina DeMaio DellaCamera.

He served his country faithfully in the US Army during the Korean war, and worked as an electrician for I.B.E.W. Local #90 for many years until his retirement. He was a former member of the Wallingford Elks Club and an avid New York Yankee fan; he loved working in his apple orchid and Christmas tree farm.

He was the father of Linda DellaCamera and Joann DiSpazio; the grandfather of Paul F. and Alyssa G. DiSpazio; and the brother of Florence (Frank) Guglietti, Judy Buonocore, Fred (Phyllis) DellaCamera, Angelo DellaCamera, and the late Michael, Benjamin, Albert, George, and James DellaCamera, Joan Cirrincione, and Mary Vacca.
