Madison

Terry Brundage, 90, of Madison died peacefully on May 25 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. A native of The Bronx, New York, Terry graduated from Hunter College in New York City with a master’s in education, and made her home in Madison in 1963. Terry enjoyed the beaches of the town and made many friends in the area who will miss her dearly.

Terry taught high school for a number of years, and in her later years helped manage the Madison Wine Shop in downtown Madison until she retired in 2006 at the age of 80. In her younger years Terry loved playing tennis, skiing, and swimming. She enjoyed classical music and theater, but most of all she loved to entertain and talk with friends.

She is survived by her daughter Jamie Kassay, husband Steve of Madison, and their daughters Hayley and Skylar; her daughter Lisa Gehm, husband Felix of San Anselmo, California, and their children Max and Chloe; her longtime companion of 34 years, Peter VanStrum of Madison; her sister Barbara Amram of Minneapolis, Minnesota; nephew Michael Amram and his wife Deborah; and niece Susan Summit, husband Jeff, and their daughters Ari and Zoe. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Nettie Flowerman and former husband Blair Brundage.
