Dolores Marenna Gerzabek, 84, of North Haven passed away peacefully on May 19 at the St. Raphael campus, Yale-New Haven. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to Frank Gerzabek. Dolores was born in New Haven on Nov. 27, 1932, daughter of the late Anthony and Annette DiMeo Marenna.

She retired from Yale University Child Study Center after 32 years. She was also an active member of the Notre Dame Alumni Mothers and the St. Francis Cabrini Women’s Club and Altar Society.

She was the mother of Frank (Lisa) Gerzabek, Bill (Jackie) Gerzabek, and Tim (fiancée Julie Griener) Gerzabek. She was the sister of Barbara Marenna. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jillian, Alexis, Lindsey, Katie, Michael, Jack, Olivia, and Grace.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated May 23 at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Ave., followed by a committal service in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours were May 22 at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame High School, 1 Notre Dame Way, West Haven, CT 06516, or Sacred Heart Academy, 265 Benham St., Hamden, CT 06514.
