Branford

Patricia Holmes Jennings Watts (Pat) went to be with the Lord on Feb. 3. She was 76. Pat was born in Mineola, New York. She was the only daughter of George B. Watts and Novella M. Watts.

She is survived by three brothers and their respective spouses, George B. Watts, Jr. (Claire) of Cohasset, Massachusetts, Peter M. Watts (Mary) of Largo, Florida, and Daniel M. Watts (Carol) of Chester; and several nieces and nephews.

Although Pat suffered from a traumatic brain injury or TBI as a result of a car accident when she was 16, she had a spirit and fortitude to persevere through life with enthusiasm, exuding joy and happiness upon everyone she met. She had an infectious laugh and cherished all her family and friends. She remembered all her brothers’ birthdays, but particularly enjoyed celebrating her own. Pat was a member of the Red Hat Society for many years. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, and she will be sorely missed.

Pat’s family would like to thank all the staff at SARAH, who through the years provided such wonderful care and support for Pat.

A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Clinton, 12 Commerce St., Clinton, May 5 at 11 a.m. Private interment will be at the Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York. Memorial contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to the SARAH Foundation, 246 Goose Lane, Ste. 104, Guilford, CT 06437, or to ASPCA at www.aspca.org/donate. Arrangements are by the Swan Funeral Home in Clinton.
