Newington and Old Saybrook

Stephany Fal, 81, died peacefully on April 25 in Old Saybrook. Born in Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Pelagia Kluka.

She made her home in Newington for more than 50 years. She was employed by Stanley Works and was an active member of the parish and choir at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church in New Britain.

Besides her parents and brother Anton Kluka, Stephany was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Stefan Fal. She is survived by her daughter Lesia Winiarskyj and granddaughters Tetiana and Claudia of Old Saybrook, as well as her sister Mary Luciw of New Britain.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Gladeview Healthcare Center in Old Saybrook and VITAS Hospice for their loving care.

Calling hours will be May 5 at Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on May 6 at St. Josaphat Church, 303 Eddy Glover Blvd., New Britain. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Cemetery, Glastonbury.
