Alice Stober Vaspasiano, 87, of East Haven, beloved wife of the late Andrew Vaspasiano, passed away on April 19 in Apple Rehab of Guilford. Alice was born in New Haven on Oct. 14, 1929, daughter of the late Charles S. and Irene LaFontaine Stober.

Alice was an avid New York Yankee fan and loved her dog Harley.

She was the loving mother of Louis (Linda) Stober of West Haven, Joseph (Chicky) Vaspasiano, Andrea Vaspasiano, and Gary Vaspasiano, all of East Haven; Scott Vaspasiano of North Branford; and the late Ronald Vaspasiano. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Irene LaRocque of North Haven, Roy P. (Joanne) Stober of West Haven, and the late Charles W. Stober. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The Vaspasiano family would like to thank the staff at Apple Rehab of Guilford for the special care shown to Alice and especially her granddaughter and nurse, Katie Malley.

Her funeral procession left the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, April 24. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church.
