Branford

Ed “The Fisherman” Ochman passed away on April 11 doing one of the things he loved most and surrounded by nature.

As Gandalf the Grey said, “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” Ed did so much with the 67 years he got, traveling, fishing, hunting, raising two daughters with their mom, Priscilla, and volunteering his time to help veterans and youth.

The people he touched are too many to count. We will all miss his humor, enormous heart, and passion for life. He was never afraid to do what was right and truly left the world better than how he found it.

Natalie, his oldest and favorite daughter no matter what, Chelsea, the one who wrote the rest of this says, requests in lieu of flowers, please send donations to Take a Vet Fishing or Rivers of Recovery, NorthEast. Animal lovers are directed to adopt a red squirrel at www.wildlifetrusts.org. There will be a celebration of his life in the summer. Tight lines. For an online memorial, visit www.wsclancy.com.
