North Haven and Killingworth

Thomas A. McClure, 83, of Killingworth, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully on March 1 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn Cox McClure. Thomas was born in East Haven on April 16, 1933, son of the late Lawrence and Mildred Burnham McClure.

He grew up and lived in North Haven for more than 80 years before moving to Killingworth. He graduated from Lyman Hall High School, and worked as a telephone repairman for S.N.E.T. He was a big Red Sox fan, enjoyed playing cards, golfing, bowling, and all outdoor activities.

He was the father of Patricia McClure, Thomas (Debi) McClure, Kevin McClure, and Kim (Lawrence) Pollack; the grandfather of Jena Wooding, Jeremy, Amy, and Keith McClure, and Alex and Emily Pollack; and the brother of Ronald McClure and the late Lawrence McClure. He was predeceased by his second wife Audrey McClure.

His funeral procession left the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., March 7. A funeral service was conducted in the North Haven Bible Church. Interment followed in All Saints Cemetery.
