John Saulino, 66, of North Branford, beloved husband of Maria Nappi Saulino, passed away peacefully on Feb. 27 surrounded by his loving family in Yale-New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus.

He was the loving father of Felicia Saulino of Wallingford, Maddalena Saulino of North Branford, and Neil J. (Lia) Saulino, also of North Branford. He was the grandfather of Alessia and Angelo Valentino, and Luca, Nicolas, and Aniello Saulino; and the brother of Michelina (Felice) Sorrentino and Antonietta (Carmine) Iannicelli, all of Italy. John was born in Liveri, Province of Naples, Italy, son of the late Aniello and Felicia Addeo Saulino.

Prior to his retirement John was the owner of John and Maria’s Restaurant located on Rte. 80 in East Haven.

His funeral procession will leave the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, March 2 at 12:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
