East Haven

Albert V. Pacileo, Jr., 74, of East Haven passed away Feb. 27 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was born July 9, 1942, in New Haven to Albert H. and Katherine (Riccio) Pacileo.

Albert is survived by his loving wife of more than 53 years, JoAnn (Bates) Pacileo, and five children, Lynette Barcella (Robert) of Branford, Albert H. Pacileo III (Tracey) of Branford, Michael Pacileo (Mistie) of Durham, Kim Smith (David) of Arlington, Massachusetts, and Dean Pacileo (Mindy) of Clinton. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, Matthew, Kyle, Brianna, Rebecca, Sophia, Griffin, and Sylvie Pacileo, and Thomas, Sarah, and Jessica Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Colton Pacileo and Giuliana Mascola. He leaves a sister, Mindy Walter (Gary) of West Palm Beach, Florida; godson Nicholas Speranza of East Haven; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert Pacileo.

He was an avid collector and fisherman, and enjoyed spending time at the casino. Prior to retiring in 2012, he worked as a plant manager for Synthetic Products in Stratford for 36 years.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on March 2 at St. Clare Catholic Church, 234 Coe Ave., East Haven. A Mass of Christian burial will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. in St. Clare Church, with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. Services are in the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), East Haven.
