Michael A. Sarno, 85, beloved husband of Lucille Caprio Sarno of East Haven, passed away Feb. 11 in Connecticut Hospice.

He was the loving father of Michael (Robin) Sarno of East Haven, Catherine Franco and fiancé Paul Champlin of North Branford, and Paul (Shirley) Sarno of Wallingford. He was the cherished grandfather of Michael (Cherie) Sarno, Thomas Sarno, Anthony and Alyssa Franco, and Michael Chase. He was the son of the late Michael and Ida Gallo Sarno, and the brother of Barbara Scroggins of Guilford and Robert Sarno of Florida.

Prior to his retirement Mike worked for the F.M.R. Corporation of West Haven for many years. He was an avid bowler and Red Sox fan. Mike was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

His funeral procession will leave the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
