Linda A. Opotzner of Branford died Feb. 13 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Robert Opotzner. Mrs. Opotzner was born Aug. 8, 1950, in East Haven, daughter of Julia Amodio Russo of East Haven and the late Joseph Russo.

She worked as an X-ray technician at the Hospital of St. Raphael for more than 40 years until retiring in 2013. Linda enjoyed decorating her house and yard. She loved being on or near the water, either at the beach or boating. She also enjoyed her time spent in Fort Myers Beach, Florida.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by her son Justin (Sarah Morehouse) Opotzner of Ballston Lake, New York, and her sister Joanne (Dave) Preneta of Branford.

The funeral procession will leave from the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 N. Main St., Branford, Feb. 18 at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary Church at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call prior to the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, or to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter, 749 E.
