Louise R. Avallone of Branford died Feb. 3 at her home. She was the wife of the late Frank Avallone. Louise was born in New Haven Oct. 4, 1941, daughter of the late Anthony and Agnes Esposito Funaro.

She was a former school teacher, and then worked as an LPN at the Fowler Nursing Center and Branford Hills Health Care Center.

She is survived by her children Pamela Avallone of Naples, Florida, and Thomas (Stephanie) Avallone of East Haven; her sisters Marie Colavolpe of Michigan, and Barbara Baisley of Branford; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers John and Alphonse Funaro.
