Edward “Ned” Disotell, Jr., 68, passed away Jan. 18 at Bridgeport Hospital Burn Center due to a tragic accident. He was born in Guilford at his home on South Union Street on Dec. 18, 1948, son of late Edward and Bertha Tassis Disotell.

He owned and operated Disotell & Son Trucking Company for many years. At his time of passing, he worked for the Town of Guilford Transfer Station, where he made some very good friends.

He is survived by his children Edward G. Disotell III “Ned” of Lebanon, Kristen (Robert) Hall of Guilford, and Angela Disotell of Branford. He is also survived by grandchildren Casey, Edward G. Disotell IV, Kaden, Chase, Skylar, and Maddox. He also leaves his brother William Disotell of Guilford, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Herbst.
