Branford

Jerry J. Osochowsky, 91, of Branford died peacefully at his home on Jan. 1. He was the devoted husband of Florence Grabowski Osochowsky of Branford. He was the son of the late James and Mary Osochowsky.

He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut in 1947 after majoring in mechanical engineering. Jerry retired from the United Illuminating Company after a 40-year career. He was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving in the Army Air Corps. His membership in the Branford Lions Club for many dedicated years of work took him from tail twister to district governor. He has very involved with CRIS—a reading-for-the-blind radio program—for many years. He also gave countless hours to Special Olympics events.

Jerry is survived by his daughters Nancy Perrelli of Branford and Cynde (Stuart) Kerr of Waverly, New York; and two grandsons, Adam Perrelli and Michael Kerr. He was predeceased by his sons Stanley, Robert, and Jeffrey.
