Patricia Oboyski, longtime resident of Guilford, passed away Nov. 24 after a long illness. She was 79 years old. She was born in New Haven to the late John Flynn and Anna Kubicza Flynn.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 58 years, Peter Oboyski; daughter Paula (Doug) Downer of Guilford; her sons Michael Oboyski of Clinton, John (Janette) Oboyski of Guilford, and Peter Oboyski of Berkley, California; her sister Marilyn Burne of Branford; and grandchildren Adam, Steven, Colin, Darby, Aidan, Shannon, Danni, and Hannah.

She worked for 20 plus years for the Guilford Public School System as a health aide at Melissa Jones and Calvin Leete Schools. She was a person who gave selflessly to others. She enjoyed hiking, gardening, reading, and traveling to Block Island. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Friends and family may call Nov. 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford. Burial will be private.
