Eleanor Wheeler, formerly of Branford, died on Nov. 11 at Skyview in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late Walter Wheeler. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Allen of North Branford, her granddaughter Denise Lebrocquy, and her great-grandson Tyler Lebrocquy of Middletown. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Davin.

Eleanor was born in Grandville, New York, on Jan. 18, 1920, a daughter of the late Charles and Rita Hamblet Tichenor. She was a registered nurse, and worked at the Bridgeport Hospital and as a private duty nurse. She was active in the White Hills Women’s Auxillary.

Her family wishes to thank the staff at Skyview for all the care and compassion they gave to Eleanor during her time there.

A memorial service will be held on Nov. 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford.
