Our angel Heather Lynn Gleason, 22, of Ivoryton went to heaven on Sept. 30. Heather was born on Oct. 28, 1993, to Barbara and Jackie Gleason.

She worked at Pieper-Olson Veterinary Hospital and was attending Middlesex Community College. Heather was loved by her family, friends, co-workers, and customers at the Pieper-Olson Veterinary Hospital, including all her four-legged friends.

Heather is survived by her parents Barbara and Jackie Gleason; sister Kristin of Ivoryton; grandmother Helen Berchtold of Deep River; aunts and uncles Joanne (Bruce) Mark of Terrell, Texas, Lisa (Gerald) Gartner of Peachtree City, Georgia, Candace Gleason of Farmington, Charles (Leslie) Berchtold of Wallingford, and Robert Gleason of New Britain.

A celebration of Heather’s life will be held Oct. 8 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 109 Main St., Centerbrook. To continue Heather’s passion of caring for animals, a “Heather Gleason Memorial Fund” has been set up for donations c/o Essex Saving Bank, PO Box 950, Essex, CT 06426, to support animals requiring medical care.
