East Haven and Branford

Mary Esposito Venturo, 93, of Branford, formerly of East Haven, beloved wife of the late Thomas G. Venturo, passed away on Aug. 7 in Connecticut Hospice. Mary was born in New Haven on July 18, 1923, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Pardo Esposito.

She was the loving mother of Ann (George) Trecarten, Sr. of North Branford and Rosemary (Mark) Mancini of Northford; and the grandmother of Sherry (Jeffrey) DelGaudio, George (Kimberly) Trecarten, Jr., Laura (Andrew) Curioso, and Lisa (Matthew) Malecot. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Jean Rascati of New York and the late Grace Serio, Rita Conte, Helen Proto, Josephine Collins, Anna Reddington, and Esther Iannuzzi, and Richard, Orlando, and Frank Esposito.

Her funeral procession will leave the Porto Funeral Home, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven, Aug. 13 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
