Amanda Nicole Lipsett, 23, of Madison and Columbia, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on June 17. She was born Aug. 15, 1992, in New Haven to Edward and Elizabeth (Salvati) Lipsett of Madison.

Amanda is survived by her loving parents; her brother Nicholas Lipsett of Madison; and her paternal grandfather John Lipsett of New York City. Amanda is also survived by her two uncles, Fred Salvati (Cathy) of Madison and Anthony Salvati (Martha) of Clinton; many great-aunts and great-uncles; cousins; and her beloved dog Thor. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Fred and Theresa (Santacroce) Salvati; paternal grandmother Judy (Cleary) Lipsett; aunt Jennifer DeCicco; and her uncle John Lipsett.

Amanda graduated Daniel Hand High School in 2010 and the University of South Carolina in 2014, where she earned summa cum laude, having received her bachelor of arts in English. Upon graduation, Amanda continued to work and reside in South Carolina.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m. on June 24 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. A sunset Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated immediately after the visitation at 7 p.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Taylor Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private.
