Robert E. Walczak, 81, of North Branford died peacefully on June 2 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Marie A. Foraker Walczak. Robert was born in Dover, Delaware, on May 30, 1935, son of the late Walter and Irma Von Bosse Walczak.

He served his country proudly in the US Navy on the USS Wisconsin during the Korean conflict and worked as a craftsman for many years. He was the father of Thomas “Skip” Walczak (Lynn) of Northford, Anne Walczak of Northford, and Michael Walczak (Dawn) of Killingworth. He was the grandfather of Kaitlin, James, Samuel, Christopher, and Cody Walczak. He was the brother of Margaret Gilliam of Redondo Beach, California, Thomas Walczak of Egg Harbor, New Jersey, and the late Helen Parker.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to his caregivers Moe and Debbie.

Funeral services were conducted June 6 in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave. Interment followed in the Northford Cemetery. The visiting hours were June 5.
