Clinton and Warner Robins, Georgia

Roger Tuttle Brittain, 90, of Warner Robins, Georgia, formerly of Clinton, passed into the hands of his Lord and Savior on the morning of Jan. 21. Roger was born to the late Henry and Lilias Rogers Brittain in Southampton, New York, on June 25, 1925.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, United States Army, and the United States Merchant Marines, serving his country during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Subsequent to his military career, Mr. Brittain earned a master of science degree from the University of Connecticut and was a well-liked teacher with Niantic City Schools in Connecticut from which he retired.

Mr. Brittain loved making people laugh and enjoyed life to the fullest. He used his entertaining personality while working for Disney as a cast member at Yellowstone National Park, Mount Rushmore, and Death Valley. Roger’s family will always celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories he created with his family and friends.

His memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife of 44 years, Beverly Jean Brittain; his son Jeremy Brittain and spouse Jaclyn, and his grandson Joseph Brittain, all of Warner Robins; and close and dear friend of many years, Jeff Tuck.

Private services were held on Jan. 24.
