Old Saybrook

Mary Helen (Green) Loiselle, 55, of Old Saybrook, formerly of Kensington, wife of David N. Loiselle, passed away on July 4 at home. Born in Manchester she was the daughter of Patricia (Boland) Green and the late Ernest Green of Middletown. She was raised in Middletown, moving to Kensington in 1982, and retiring to Old Saybrook in 2014.

Mary Helen was a 1978 graduate of Mercy High School in Middletown, and a 1980 graduate of Fisher College in Boston, Massachusetts.

Employed by the Talbots Co. in West Hartford for many years, she was a past member of the Berlin Junior Women’s Club, and a past member of the Board of Directors of The Independent Day School in Middlefield.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son David N. Loiselle III of Northampton, Massachusetts, daughter Melinda E. Loiselle of Rocky Hill, and the love of her life granddaughter Rosalie Lorraine Loiselle of Northampton, Massachusetts. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law Elmer and Joanne Miller of Greenville, North Carolina; brothers Michael Green and his partner Donald Alberding of Canterbury, New Hampshire, and Frank and Ellen Green of Middletown; and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Everyone is invited to go directly to St. Paul Church, 485 Alling St., Kensington, on July 8 for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Maple Cemetery on Worthington Ridge in Berlin.
