Matthew George Krny, longtime resident of Clinton passed away peacefully on April 3. He was the beloved husband for 68 years of Rosalie Muzer Krny. Matthew was born in Clinton on July 5, 1923, son of the late John and Veronica Pazurik Krny.

Mr. Krny proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement, he worked at Pond’s for more than 43 years.

He was the loving father of George Krny and his wife Margaret of Clinton, and Sally Mascitelli and her husband Thomas of Huntington, Connecticut. He was the brother of Helen Rochette of Clinton. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Lisa (Erric) Moretti, Dr. Matthew (Stormy) Mascitelli, Sherry (Brian) Timmeny, and Ryan (Elisa) Prucnal; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Visitation Church, 54 Grove St., Clinton, on April 10 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow Mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
