Branford

Rose Kikosicki Rabovsky, 75, beloved wife of the late Robert J. Rabovsky of Branford, died Nov. 21 at her home after a brief illness. Rose was born in New Haven, March 1, 1939, daughter of the late Roman and Clara Portja Kikosicki.

She worked for Read’s Department Store for 35 years, and then for the Town of Branford as assistant human resources director until retiring in January. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Branford and was the president of the St. Mary Ladies Guild. She also volunteered at the Community Dining Room in Branford.

Rose is survived by Michael Rabovsky of Branford; her sister Theresa (Paul) Stamkiewicz of Branford; her brothers Raymond (Sophie) Kikosicki of East Haven, Richard (Fran) Kikosicki, Joseph (Claudia) Kikosicki, and Paul (Donna) Kikosicki, all of Branford, and John (Gail) Kikosicki of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Frances Augustine.

The funeral left from the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, on Nov. 26 for a Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary Church. Friends called Nov. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. For directions and an online memorial, please visit www.wsclancy.com.
