William D. Graziano, 86, Guilford


Friday, March 7, 2014, William D. Graziano, 86, longtime Guilford resident, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Gilda Vincent Graziano. Born on December 28, 1927, in Bronx, New York, son of the late Pasquale and Clorinda Graziano. Loving father of Clorinda Graziano of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Graziano and his wife Pauline of Guilford, and Angela Graziano of Phoenix, AZ. Also survived by three grandchildren, Melissa Graziano-Humphrey and her husband Matthew, Regina and William Graziano. Brother of Richard Graziano of Guilford. Predeceased by a brother, Robert Graziano.

William served his country in the US Army during WWII. He received his bachelor’s degree from NYU, his Master’s degree from CCSU and 6th year from SCSU in administration. Mr. Graziano taught industrial arts in Guilford Public Schools for thirty years, and had been department head of industrial arts. He was also past President of the Guilford Teacher Association. For over fifty years, Mr. Graziano also owned Quality Tile, working throughout the Shoreline area. He was also a past member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 11, at 10am in St George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford, CT. Burial will follow Mass in St George Cemetery, Guilford. Friends may call on Monday, March 10 from 4 – 7 pm at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford, CT 06437.
