03/04/2014 09:45 AMFrances J. Walsh, 87, of Branford, wife of the late Robert V. Walsh III, passed away March 1, 2014 at Talmadge Park Healthcare, East Haven. She was born in Harwick, Massachusetts on March 14, 1926, daughter of Lloyd and Alice Metcalf Bombriant. She began her nursing career with the United States Navy until being honorably discharged in 1949, and continued to work with several nursing homes until retiring from Clintonville Manor. She is survived by her son, Robert V. Walsh IV of Branford; her brother, James Bombriant; and her sisters, Shirley Alderman and Sally McKemnzie. She was predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Pugliese. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Arrangements are under the care of Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford.
