06/18/2013 11:00 AMLillian Jane Martine Taragowski, 85, of North Haven died on June 12 at the CT Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Taragowski. Born in New Haven on June 16, 1927, Lillian was the daughter of the late Earl B. and Martha J. Hopkins Martine and had worked for the former United States Repeating Arms Company for many years until her retirement.
She was the mother of Marti (Paul) DeMennato of Coconut Creek, Florida, Mary Weber of Ansonia, and Roberta (James) Gagliardi and Rosemary (Ronald) Neubig both of North Haven. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her siblings Earl, Howard, and Alton Martine, and Grace Dart.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, on Monday, June 17 at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
