03/11/2013 03:00 PMMichael Pluskwik, 92, beloved husband of Bessie Pluskwik of Branford, died on March 6 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Mr. Pluskwik was born on May 23, 1920 in Pielnia, Poland, son of the late Peter and Carolina Pluskwik. He had been a set-up man and shop foreman for Mossberg Arm’s for many years until retiring in 1990. He had also formerly worked for the MIF Company in Branford. Mr. Pluskwik was a member of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in New Haven, The Annex Senior Club, and the Ridge Road Seniors.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, John Kolosiwski of Chicago, Illinois, and Michael Pluskwik of Branford; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, John Pluswik.
His funeral procession will leave the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, on Monday, March 11, at 10:15 a.m., for a mass of Christian burial at St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church, New Haven, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
