George E. Morman, 52, New Haven, formerly of East Haven

George E. Morman, 52, of New Haven, formerly of East Haven, died at home on March 2. George was born in New Haven on Dec. 8, 1960, son of George Morman and Mary Lou (Donlan) DiLeone. He had been a lifelong resident of East Haven prior to moving to New Haven and was also an avid sports fan, especially loyal to his New York Yankees and UConn basketball.

George was devoted to his family and dearly loved his nieces and nephew. His brother and sister-in-law, Sean and Faith, and their son Joey, will always cherish the special times they spent together with George watching the Patriots and Giants games. His niece Miranda enjoyed their softball games and bike rides, and fondly remembers George carrying her backpack home from the bus stop for her. George was a loving son and will be deeply missed by his family, cousins, and friends.

Besides his parents, George is survived by three siblings, Rhonda (Morman) Criscuolo of Winter Park, Florida, Sean Morman and his wife Faith (Gabucci) of East Haven, and Louisa DiLeone and her husband Brian Huff of Madison, Alabama. He is also survived by two beloved nieces and a nephew, Melaina Criscuolo, Miranda Morman, and Joseph Morman.

His family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 8, at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 9, at 10 a.m., in All Saints Cemetery.
