Elaine P. Cody, 78, North Haven


Elaine Perrelli Cody, 78, of North Haven, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the CT Hospice in Branford. She was born in New Haven on Jan. 8, 1935; daughter of the late Frank Perrelli and Gladys Jones Perrelli Senkiew. She was the step-daughter of the late Terry Senkiew.

Elaine had worked as a waitress for many years in area diners until her retirement, having worked most recently at the Branford Townhouse. Family was everything to her, spending a lot of time with them especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her passion was cooking and baking for family and the many family gatherings. She loved spending time by the shore and taking long rides along the shore and visiting Cape Cod.

Mother of Alfred “Skip” Cody, III and his wife Carol of North Haven, Deborah “Debbie” Nabors of North Haven and Suzanne “Sue” Moody of East Haven. Grandmother of Alfred “Buddy” (Melissa) Cody IV of East Haven, Karissa Cody of North Haven, Michele (Frank) Northrop of East Haven, Michael Moody, Ryan Moody both of Branford, Robert “Bobby” Nabors and Melissa Nabors both of North Haven. Sister of Louise Stirnichuk of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Barbara Battles of Wallingford, and the late Frank N. Perrelli and Leslie Perrelli. Also survived by five great-grandchildren and her companion and good friend Bill Mahoney.

Funeral services were conducted at North Haven Funeral Home, on Tuesday, Feb. 19 by the Rev. Timothy Meehan. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
