02/13/2013 12:00 PMMary Josephine Battipaglia, formerly of Ocean Ave., West Haven, died on Feb. 2 at the Arden House Care & Rehab Center, Hamden. Mary was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Alphonse and Mary Grace Iannone Battipaglia.
She had worked in retail at Marshall’s Department Store.
Her family extends a special “Thank You” to the staff of the Arden House 2C-D for all the excellent care shown to their sister and aunt, and also a special “Thank You” to her wonderful niece Mary-Ellen Nuzzo.
Mary is survived by her sister, Rose Battipaglia Nuzzo of Milford; two brothers, Ralph Barrie and his wife Jeanette of Northford and Alphonse Battipaglia and his wife Elaine Rogers of Hamden; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Dominic Battipaglia.
Her funeral procession left the North Haven Funeral Home on Feb. 4 for a mass of Christian burial at St. Barnabas Church. Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family. www.northhavenfuneral.com
