12/18/2012 10:00 AMBarbara J. Minore Prato, 63, of East Haven, died on Dec. 11 along with her beloved mother and friend, Marjorie Cinicola Minore, formerly of North Haven. Born in New Haven on Nov. 23, 1949, she was also the daughter of the late Joseph J. Minore. Barbara was the wife of John A. Prato. She had worked in the office for the New Haven Ravens, the Bridgeport Bluefish, and the Norwich Navigators, and at the time of her death worked in the office for Dr. Bjorn Ringstad at the Village Medical Center in North Haven. Barbara was devoted to her family, especially to her six grandchildren, sharing in all their extra curricular activities.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Christopher Prato and his wife Jennifer of North Branford and Melissa Prato and her partner Janet Madigan of Hamden; six grandchildren, Lia, Matthew, and Emilia Prato, and Kaela, Avery, and Tatum Shugrue, and two brothers, Joseph Minore and his wife Sandra of Cape Coral, Florida, and Mark Minore and his wife Wendy Darling of Branford.
Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Ctr.
