06/12/2012 11:00 AMRobert T. Heffernan, 87, of Guilford, died on June 9 at the Hospice at Middlesex Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Beverly Jean (Bartlett) Heffernan, formerly of Cheshire. Mr. Heffernan was born in East Haven on Jan. 4, 1925, son of the late Thomas and Ruth Peterson Heffernan.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Gerald Heffernan of Miami, Florida, Sharon Clark of Milford, and Marisue Payne of Cheshire. He is also survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his faithful Labrador retrievers, Oliver and Baron.
