Malcolm (Mac) Pomeroy of North Branford


Malcolm Lawrence (Mac) Pomeroy of Branford Road, North Branford died peacefully in his home on March 19. Mac was born in Presque Isle, Maine on Nov. 30, 1922, a son of Lawrence and Laura Michaud Pomeroy. He was the husband of the late Josephine Shemouny Pomeroy. He is the father of Barbara Ireland (husband Emory) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dennis Pomeroy (wife Jody) of Orlando, Florida, and Diane Pomeroy-Linsley (husband Keith) of Branford. He is the brother of William Pomeroy and Bette Adkins, both of Corinth, Maine. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jonathan and Robert Ireland, Robert and Michael Mason, Andy, Nina, and Joseph Pomeroy, and his great-grandson Ben Ireland. He was predeceased by one sister and three brothers. He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II. He was a mechanic for United Nuclear for more than 20 years and also worked for Bic Pen for 12 years.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford.
