Labon Gail (Anderson) Mohr, 75, Madison


Labon Gail (Anderson) Mohr, 75, of Madison, beloved wife of Robert Amor Mohr, died after a long and valiant battle on July 20.  Gail was born on July 14, 1936 in Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania, daughter of Dorothy Elizabeth Amick and Alexis Keeler Anderson.  She grew up in Rowayton and graduated from Norwalk High School.  Married on June 28, 1958, she raised four daughters and pursued her passions of cooking, sewing, and crafting.  Gail was the co-owner with her husband of The General Store in Madison.  She will be remembered by her family and friends for her amazing tenacity, courage, and strength through multiple medical challenges. 

Besides her husband, she is survived by her four daughters, Labon Denice Guardiano and her husband Ralph, Jodi Elizabeth DiBattista and her husband James, Meribeth Margaret Mohr, and Rebecca Allyson Mohr; her loving grandchildren, Nicole Guardiano and Megan and Michael Gleissner; her cherished great-grandchild, Gavin Egan; her sister Judith Albin of Weston; and her brother, Robert Eisenberg, Jr. and his wife Molly of Tuscola, Texas. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Ernest C. Albin, Jr.

The Rev. Boyd Johnson will conduct graveside services for family and friends at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, in Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 (www.cancer.org), or to Middlesex Hospital, Office of Philanthropy, 28 Crescent St., Middletown, CT  06457 (www.middlesexhospital.org/support-middlesex-hospital).  The Swan Funeral Home, Madison, is in charge of arrangements.
