10/29/2010 12:00 AMLuba Szapiaczan, 61, of Branford, died on Oct. 26. She was born in Liege, Belgium, on May 22, 1949 and came to America with her parents, Michael Szapiaczan and the late Oxana Szapiaczan. A graduate of Branford High School, Luba attended UCONN and was employed in various administrative positions during her lifetime. She was also a communicant of St. Mary Church, Branford.
Besides her loving father, she is survived by her sister Mary and many wonderful friends.
Friends are invited to a mass of Christian burial on Friday, Oct. 29, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary Church, 731 Main St., Branford, CT 06405, or to the Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405. The W.S.
