07/23/2010 12:00 AMRalph MacKenzie, Jr., 70, of East Haddam, died in Branford on July 10. He was the husband of Catherine Rovetti MacKenzie. He was born in New Haven on March 11, 1940, son of the late Ralph and Dorothy Post MacKenzie. He had worked as a truck mechanic, and he owned and managed the Pleasant Acres Mobile Home Park in North Branford.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his two children, David MacKenzie of Corvallis, Oregon, and Cheryl Shine of Hawaii, and a stepdaughter, Julia Skratt Marshall of North Haven.
Services were private. Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St., New York, N.Y. 10128-6804 (www.ASPCA.org). The W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, Branford, was in charge of arrangements.
