A public performance of Messiah in Branford will take place Friday, Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, Branford, 1009 Main Street.

This year will mark the 34th annual performance in Branford of Handel’s wonderful Christmas oratorio, Messiah. A professional chamber orchestra, amazing soloists, and conductor Roy Wiseman join over 35 community singers to share the joy of the season in a beautiful and festive space. Soloists are Lielle Berman, soprano; Rebecca Ringle-Kamarei, mezzo-soprano; Alex O’Neil, tenor; and Olivier Zerouali, bass.

Over 50 Branford businesses and individuals have made donations to defray the costs of putting on such a performance.

This wonderful musical experience, launched in 1986 by Ettie Minor Luckey, is for the whole family. The organizers give special thanks to performance donors and advertisers. Guests are invited to make a free-will offering at the door.
