Press release from Cindy Golia, North Haven Garden Club

The North Haven Garden Club (NHGC) participated in the North Haven Conservation Commission’s 2023 Earth Day Celebration on April 29 at North Haven High School.

At this event, members of the NHGC displayed posters about pollination while highlighting the Pollinator Pathway Project and how people can join the project. Gerri Giordano put together a large map that highlighted all of the club’s gardens, the town’s gardens, and other gardens that requested to be part of the project. The NHGC also displayed poster boards containing information on the Junior Garden Club, which was founded in 2019.

The NHGC meets on Saturdays at the United Faith Methodist Church on Clintonville Road in East Haven. For info on the Pollinator Pathway Project or the Junior Garden Club, contact the NHGC at nhcgcindy@yahoo.com. For NHGC membership info, contact Italia at italia_a@comcast.net.
