JWMS Students to Get Headsets from Reg. 4 Ed Foundation Grant

John Winthrop Middle School (JWMS) strives to provide unique and timely educational experiences to middle school students. In our technologically saturated world, it is difficult for schools to keep up with financial challenges in order to continue offering cutting edge resources for learners. Thanks to a grant from the Region 4 Educational Foundation (R4EF), next year’s middle school students will be immersed in virtual learning and gain experience developing virtual programs using MetaQuest headsets.

This generous donation enables John Winthrop students to keep pace with technology gains, prepares students for STEM careers, and sparks excitement for learning. Furthermore, using these headsets in an educational environment will help students develop responsible use, brainstorm ways to use technology to solve problems, and gain skills marketable in today’s technology fields.

JWMS thanks the R4EF for continued support of education, its students, and ensuring that this community of learners continues to thrive.
