On April 22, North Haven Garden Club member Cindy Golia and several members of the North Haven High School (NHHS) Key Club gathered at the preschool garden at NHHS to give the garden a much-needed cleaning. After that task was completed, Golia and the kids ventured over to the North Haven Middle School sign to weed and fix any bricks around the base of the sign. The last task that morning was to refresh the mulch at the entrance to Todd's Pond.
Golia said that the kids are not afraid to work hard and did a great job at the recent cleanup. The members of the North Haven Key Club who participated in the cleanup were Victoria Pachnik, Shen Wan, Ayla Sivri, Daniel Villabona, Roberto DeMacedo, Meghan DeRubeis, Gianna Pace, Paul Wilson McCarthy, and Salih Uzun.
The Key Club is the high school branch of the Kiwanis Club, which is classified as a Service Leadership Program for the Kiwanis Youth Program. The Key Club is sponsored by the local Kiwanis Club.
