Election Night Returns: Killingworth


Killingworth voters turned out in a stready stream all day to cast more than 3,546 ballots for a turnout of 72.5 percent, according to unofficial results.

Incumbent Gov. Ned Lamont, a Democrat, edged out his Republican challenger Bob Stefanowski, by a tally of 1,761 to 1,741.

Likewise, incumbent Democrat U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat, prevailed in Killingworth over his Republican challenger Lenora Levy. And U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney, an incumbent Democrat, beat Republican challenger Mike France.

In statewide contests, State Senator Christine Cohen, an incumbent Democrat, edged out challenger Paul Crisci, a Republican, in the 12th District race in Killingworth.

But Republican challenger Chris Aniskovich, a Republican, found favor among Killingworth voters, by prevailing, but just so, against incumbent Democrat Christine Goupil, a Democrat.
