NORTH BRANFORD - Crafters Care Events, an all-volunteer effort, recently raised $5,400 for the Food Pantry of North Branford (FBNB), thanks to the community coming out to support the second annual artisan Crafters Care Craft Fair held at Doody’s field in September.

Even as the craft fair was rolling out, Crafters Care Events founder and Northford resident Kim Mucha was already busy organizing a new event to benefit FPNB -- and it’s coming soon.

On Sunday, Nov. 13, Crafters Care Events presents “A Holiday Artisan Market at Millpond” 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Millpond Gatherings, 1565 Middletown Avenue in Northford. On the day of the event, each $5 entry fee benefits the food pantry.

“One hundred percent of the admission proceeds will be used to help local families in need,” said Mucha, who also plans to work with FPNB and North Branford Social Services to help provide “wish list” holiday assistance to some families.

The Artisan Market at Millpond will feature holiday shopping from local handcraft vendors. Mucha describes the event as a “...rustic shopping experience set up in the beautiful Millpond Gatherings Event Venue featuring 25 handmade artisans selling one of a kind decor and gift ideas.”

Details on vendor offerings are being posted and updated at the event’s Facebook page.

FPBN’s mission is to provide free supplemental groceries to those in need. As an all-volunteer organization, 100 percent of all food and monetary donations directly benefit clients. FPNB is located in the lower level of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church at 1382 Middletown Ave. in Northford. For more information, visit foodpantrynb.org
